Sleeping Difficulty Problems

Insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized with difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early, for three or more times per week. In some cases, there may be a resistance to going to bed on an appropriate schedule and difficulty sleeping without parent or guardian intervention.

When untreated, insomnia may lead to fatigue/malaise, cognitive impairment, impaired social and occupational performance, irritability, reduced motivation, and concerns about or dissatisfaction with sleep.

If you think that you or a member of your household may be suffering from insomnia, contact us to schedule an evaluation with a Sleep Specialist or ask your provider about a referral to Red River Sleep Center.
